I return home
power is soon established
it is election time coming up after all
H-Town is not another
New Orleans
so get Monday in gear
this is a new chapter
and work itself still is
without juice
it is okay
I need a few more
minutes to
collect myself
so I did right by
leaving downtown
when I did
I was soon enough
overstaying my welcome
but really ya gotta
consider the circumstances
ya know?
and so tonight
riding on up into the
city tonight
dark shutdown
gasoline line waiting
for the wi-fi and
a decent cup of coffee
patiently sit down
meal of meals thankful
for the meal
