that writers have
no excuse to say
I’m not in the best
place to
put it all down
right now
the best place
is just to be writing as
much as humanly
possible and throw
and throw it into
the wind and second
nature
to do it so much
that your talking
is like your writing
your writing is
like your talking

your life is like
poetry like a
string of poems

and you’re
going deeper
further into self
or truth

but you won’t get
there by sitting
and staring at
a blank page

be a man and scrawl
the long haul
