Only For A Second

shine bright if
only for a second
I could write down
a little concrete carve
all these terrible
things I’ve learned
that some would
mistake
for stunted growth

but I maintain
a fascination for
the unknown
and all those bringing
pulling me closer to it
catch the right tone
