folks die hard
limbs sore
he told me how gross it was
how it sounded
when cars hit bodies
my friend drove over a wall
lost his car and apartment in a week
he’s still alive to talk to me
I know how to bore myself
I certainly know how to complain
spiritual life is there but
not intensely –
I’m hoping to pick up again
a big part of writing is fascination with words. for me it is simple words. words I relate to, and perhaps form sentences, then paragraphs, pieces. hunger. dreamweaver. dsl. headaches. BDP talking about black people, chicken, and watermelon. lyric channel. so much talent out there in the world, and in here in my world. tap into that, they say. I’m hearing these autumn bugs outside and I’m thinking there’s something wrong with my computer. paranoia.
