In the story, a saintly man, Prince Myshkin, is thrust into the heart of a society dedicated to wealth, power and sexual conquest. Extortion, scandal and murder follow testing Myshkin’s moral feelings as Dostoevsky searches through the wreckage left by human misery to find “man in man.” This production, hailed as “pure brilliance” by The Washington Post, was awarded with HELEN HAYES AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CHOREOGRAPHY and the HELEN HAYES AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING DIRECTION.
